A supplier scorecard is a structured evaluation framework that scores potential manufacturing partners across key criteria: quality certifications, on-time delivery capability, price competitiveness, communication responsiveness, and financial stability. It turns subjective gut-feel into a defensible, repeatable procurement decision process.

Standard supplier scorecards rely on self-reported data from the supplier. Dewin's 50-point Dolphin Audit is conducted on-site by our own team - we physically walk the factory floor, inspect equipment, photograph processes, and score 5 pillars: Process Capability, Quality System, Equipment & Technology, Management & Documentation, and Workforce & Safety. No self-reporting, no remote audits.

Yes - the scorecard criteria are universal. However, when you compare your China supplier scores against our Vietnam network, remember to add the Section 301 tariff cost (up to 25% on many HTS categories) to your China total cost of ownership calculation. Vietnam-origin goods are not subject to Section 301.

For new factory additions, our on-ground team can complete a full audit within 2-3 weeks. Compare this to 6-12 weeks for self-managed overseas supplier qualification.
